Mikhail Mamaev finished his Ph.D at the University of Colorado Boulder, in the group of Ana Maria Rey, following undergraduate and master’s degrees at McGill University. His prior research focused on quantum dynamics and entanglement generation in ultracold atomic systems. His current interests include the encoding of quantum information in noise-resistant degrees of freedom, parallel logical operations in large atomic arrays, and distillation of entangled states in imperfect experimental systems.
