Peter Bennington was born in Southern California and grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, San Diego in 2016. He did undergraduate research focusing on materials for energy conversion. In the fall of 2017, he joined the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago and currently works under the supervision of Professor Patel and Professor Nealey as a graduate student.
Peter’s current research focuses on solid polymer electrolytes for energy storage applications. His work involves understanding the self-assembly behavior and electrochemical performance of ion conducting polymers.
