Bill Lenart

Bill Lenart was born in Sewickley, PA. He obtained his BSE degree in Cleveland, OH at Case Western Reserve University in Polymer Science and Engineering. He continued at CWRU for his PhD studies, first under Prof. Eric Baer studying multilayer coextrusion, then under Prof. Mike Hore studying resistive pulse sensing of soft nanoparticles. After receiving his PhD in 2020, Bill moved to Minneapolis to work with Prof. Chris Elison and Prof. Chris Macosko at the University of Minnesota to study reactive extrusion, directed self-assembly, and optical metamaterials.

Starting in January 2022 in the Rowan Group, Bill has since worked on ways to access the benefits of dynamic covalent bonding in polymer glasses.

In Aug 2023, Bill started his new position at Research Scientist at the Roux Institute at Northeastern University.
