Pam Cai received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University working with Prof. Andrew Spakowitz and Prof. Sarah Heilshorn. Her dissertation research combined theoretical and experimental approaches to understand dynamically associating polymer networks with the goal of gaining fundamental insight into biological fluids. Prior to her PhD, she received her BS in Chemical Engineering at MIT. She began her postdoctoral research in the Tirrell group in Summer 2023.
Pam's research is focused on biopolymer-based polyelectrolyte complexes for sustainable materials development.
